To get started, an intense half-day workshop is generally sufficient to have a clear vision and an outline of where to go. Here is how the workshop proceeds:
- You tell me about your company, your current strategy, your interest/involvement with social media, the issues you are facing and your needs. This information will provide the basis for personalized advice.
- I give you an overview of social media and the various tools that are available (blogs, wikis, social networks, Facebook, shared documents, YouTube, Twitter…) as well as their underlying communication strategy. I answer any questions you may have so that you can identify their benefits for your strategy.
- We discuss available options and the interest of social media for you. We see how I can help you, and draft out some strategic elements to be refined later. We agree on the next steps to take together, if applicable.
